Sustainable viscose knits
PHOTOGRAPHY BY LUIS SANCHIS
Viscose, also called rayon, is a cellulose fibre derived from trees. Every year over one-hundred million trees are used for fabric, often permanently clearcutting ancient forests, jeopardising the balance of our ecosystem and accelerating climate change.
In order to help reverse this trend, our knitwear range only employs Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified viscose from sustainably-managed forests in Europe. The pulp is subsequently turned into viscose filament in Germany and then made into fabric in Italy. This certified viscose is then milled in Italy, where we also manufacturer our collections with some of the most reputable makers in the world.
